The cultural contours of grief" at the 2021 awp conference

I had the honor of presenting on the AWP 2021 panel, "The Cultural Contours of Grief" with Frankie Rollins, Kimi Eisele, and Michelle Chikaonda. We spoke about how we wrote into our grief after devastating personal losses, how writing helped us gain our bearings in the midst of devastation, and how leaning into our grief allowed us to open our hearts up to the world. This was my first time to be on a panel at AWP and though I would've loved to meet these lovely women and our audience in person, I'm loving the flexibility of the online format.
